Now entering his age-36 season and 14th in the NFL, Davis will have to slow at some point. His surface stats have remained remarkably consistent, as he continues to churn out 1,000+ defensive and 100+ tackle seasons. If there was a concern to point to, it would be his work in coverage as he allowed 10.2 yards per reception in 2024 - his worst mark since his rookie season. With hints of decline in underlying metrics and the fact that Davis is entering the final year of his current contract, it doesn't come as a significant surprise that New Orleans invested in Danny Stutsman as the heir apparent at inside linebacker. Davis is likely to have another productive season, but his consistent results on the stat sheet don't paint a full picture, and he is clearly on the back end of his career.
