Everyone freaking out like we’re all expecting Waller to be a TE1. Take a step back and realize that a free add off waivers that will start for his team is as good as it gets at this time of year. Who knows what will happen but worth a shot.19

Please don’t expect him to play more than half the games this year. Otherwise, you’ll be sorrily mistaken. This dude retired in large part due to his injury history and his lack of dedication to the game. His return will be mediocre at best, although I wish him the best as a Phins fan. Terrible move to give up on Jonnu. Typical franchise move here

Could possibly take away volume from achane as well since he’s smaller and getting hit over the middle is a waste of his talents.

Projections are easy. Use his efficiency metrics and slot in Jonnu target volume from last year. Same coaching staff. Same qb. Same entire offensive roster. What would change? This offense uses the tight end A LOT. shanahan, mcvay, etc. they all use the middle of the field and he’s the only weapon there for now.7
