Tomorrow we get our first look at the Texans new look offense under OC Nick Caley & what the Texans draft class looks like.
Plenty to look forward to tomorrow even if very few starters play and I’ll be here talking about it for the new few days 🫡

C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s knee injury is “not as serious as it could have been” according to @AdamSchefter.
It is not out of the question that CJGJ is back for the Texans week 1 matchup vs the LA Rams.
The Texans have found most of their offensive success off under center PA throughout camp & that is what you could call the Nick Caley effect.
2025 Rams PA Rate - 32.0% (4th) vs Texans - 26.2 (12th)
Rams PA Rate on 1st down - 52.1% (6th) vs Texans - 43.9% (13th)
Rams PA Rate when Under Center - 90.6% (12th) vs Texans 80.9% (28th)
Combine that with being top 10 in AYBC/ATT last year & an elite defense you can see what the Texans want to be in 2025.

Juice Scruggs is a guy who has done really well for himself in camp so far & is somebody I’m excited to watch tomorrow.
He’s transitioned more fully to guard now and has gone from 3rd team early in offseason to now working some with the 1st team.
Love to see it.

The Texans currently only have 3 healthy safeties heading into Saturday FYI:
- Calen Bullock (Who I don’t expect to play)
- Russ Yeast
- M.J. Stewart
Both of Yeast/Stewart have a potential big opportunity to earn themselves some snaps with a potential opening there.
Jimmie Ward was arrested today on a warrant again.
This is the 2nd legal issue for Ward this offseason.
