C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s knee injury is “not as serious as it could have been” according to @AdamSchefter.
It is not out of the question that CJGJ is back for the Texans week 1 matchup vs the LA Rams.

Do you think the Texans should play their starters (specifically on offense) during their first preseason game tomorrow?
I don’t believe we see most of them with the scrimmage yesterday & joint practices coming up soon and I’m okay with that but curious what people think.
Juice Scruggs is a guy who has done really well for himself in camp so far & is somebody I’m excited to watch tomorrow.
He’s transitioned more fully to guard now and has gone from 3rd team early in offseason to now working some with the 1st team.
Love to see it.

The Texans currently only have 3 healthy safeties heading into Saturday FYI:
- Calen Bullock (Who I don’t expect to play)
- Russ Yeast
- M.J. Stewart
Both of Yeast/Stewart have a potential big opportunity to earn themselves some snaps with a potential opening there.
Jimmie Ward was arrested today on a warrant again.
This is the 2nd legal issue for Ward this offseason.
